Log Hours submissions
When you submit the Log Hours form, we collect your first and last name, email address, the date and number of hours served, and which ministry/activity it was for (e.g., Altar Server, Lector, Coats for Kids).
Member account credentials
Members granted editor access to the Site (to update schedules and event information) have a username and password stored by our hosting/WordPress system.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — this collects IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and time on page. Analytics tracking is not applied to logged-in member accounts, only general site visitors.
We do not currently have a contact form, newsletter sign-up, online donation/payment collection, or event registration/ticketing on the Site. If any of those are added later, this policy should be updated to cover them.
- How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Track and credit volunteer hours submitted through the Log Hours form
- Maintain member account access for those with editing permissions
- Understand Site usage and improve its content and performance
- Comply with legal obligations, if any arise
- How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site — our web host, and Google (for Analytics)
- Legal authorities, if required by law
We do not share Log Hours data or account information with any other outside party.

The Site uses essential cookies required for basic functionality (such as staying logged in, for members with account access), and Google Analytics cookies to understand visitor traffic. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some Site functionality, like staying logged in.
Confirm: does the site currently show a cookie-consent banner? If not, and you’d like one, that’s a quick plugin addition — worth asking about separately if you want it.
- Data Retention
This is a real policy decision worth deciding rather than me guessing — how long should Log Hours submissions be kept? Common approaches: indefinitely for historical/award records, or a set number of years. Fill in once decided.

- Ask what information we have on file for you
- Request a correction to inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (for example, a past Log Hours submission)

- Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Log Hours form and member accounts are intended for adult council members.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
